Impacted services

The following services will be impacted by this release:

• Building Works
• Complying Development Certificate
• Controlled Activity Approval
• Intention to Seek Occupation Certificate
• Major Projects Portal
• Online DA
• Post-consent certificates
• State DA. 

These changes have been made to address stakeholder feedback, support the introduction of policy initiatives and address technical issues. There will also be changes to existing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). 

Summary of changes

Enhancements to existing services

• The Online DA service will be updated to improve how variations to development standards information is captured in the application form
• Introduction of the Decennial Insurance (DI) option as an alternative to Strata Building Bond within the Building Works and Intention to Seek Occupation Certificate services 
• Update the distribution list for the Written Direction Notice (WDN) notification email to include councils
• Controlled Activity Approval (CAA) service will be updated to enhance the validation for CAA security release applications. 

API changes

There will be changes to the following NSW Planning Portal APIs as part of this release. These include: 

• Description changes to 'doesVaryLEP' attribute in the 'CreateDA', 'UpdateDA' and 'EditDA' operations in the Online DA sevrice v2 API.
• A new attribute, 'reasonForExtendingExhibition', added to the 'CreateExhibition' and 'UpdateExhibition' operations in the Common API.
