On 17 April 2025, enhancements were released to the following digital services on the NSW Planning Portal (the Portal): 

• BASIX
• Certificate registration 
• Controlled activity approval 
• Intent to seek occupation certificate 
• Post-consent certificate 
• Strata bond 

These enhancements were to improve the usability of the services and address technical issues.

Bugs and fixes  

The following minor fixes have been made to address known technical issues:

• ‘Application determined’ date displays in the milestone table on the ‘Analytics’ tab within the Subdivision Certificate application. 
• The duplicate payment request for the ‘Housing and Productivity Contribution’ within the complying development certificate workflow has been removed.  
• The misalignment in the ‘Fee Schedule’ table within the Controlled Activity Approval fee estimate has been rectified. 
• The dropdown value, 'heat pump,' has been removed from the ‘Hot water tub’ section within the BASIX application.
• The application status within the system-generated ‘Intent to Seek OC’ application form will reflect the system status. 
• Status for ‘Intent to seek occupation certificate’ application displays as ‘OC issued’ when occupation certificate status is ‘Determined’, ‘Pending Post OC’ or ‘Post OC completed’.
• ‘Assign to me’ button is visible on the Strata bond case for users that belong to the same organisation as the assigned user. 
• User must select the declaration ‘I acknowledge that the original building bond has been received’ prior to determining the strata bond application. 
• System validation ‘Local action are available only when you are performing the assignment’ has been removed from the final assessment screen within the Strata bond application.
• Updated error message ‘Please ensure the total bond amount in the bond details is equal OR more than required bond amount’ when the bond amount field is left blank or the amount entered is less than the required bond amount. 
• ‘Building bond receipt’ is generated when all data and signatures have been provided.
• When the ‘Reason for change on expected completion notice date of construction’ is ‘Other’, the justification is included in the system-generated Intent to seek occupation certificate, expected completion notice and expected completion amendment notices.
