This attractive University office building has a complicated but energy efficient structure.  The building frame is structural steel clad in pre cast concrete panels.   Externally over the pre cast panels are two 50mm layers of Isoboard, then a 95mm air gap and then a timber frame and sarking and finally finished in a combination of painted FC sheeting and metal cladding. The windows are double glazed.  The roof is reinforced concrete with insulation and metal deck roofing over the slab.
Over the ground and first floor slabs is 50mm of polished concrete topping, The topping was embedded with Micronal, Styrofoam beads and Luminten for thermal properties.
This small but complicated building took two years to complete.
