The Museum of Contemporary Art project is situated at Australia’s iconic Circular Quay
with this project comprising the construction of a new six storey building and refurbishment of the adjacent existing MCA building Seven separate handovers formed part of the contract and were accomplished by staging the works around the contractual requirements including:
•    Stages 1 & 7 were the construction of the new buildings;
•    Stages 2, 3, 4, & 6 were the refurbishment works;
•    Stage 5 was the completion of the seawater exchange system for the mechanical services.
The project has been constructed to a very high standard and incorporates the innovation of using GFC panelling to reduce weight constraints on the façade.
