The Pier Pavilion is a landmark public space building located on the Wulugul Walk at Barangaroo South. The project is unique in all aspects, with significant location complications, specialist structural steel framing, a CLT roof deck and 2,500 custom-made bespoke “Oyster Terrazzo Concrete Panels”, produced using 450,000 recycled Sydney Rock oyster shells. Stephen Edwards Constructions delivered a high-quality project, demonstrating excellent attention to detail, construction tolerances and connection details. The result provides a versatile facility for general community use and specialised events.
