This building proves “if you give the people what they want at a good price they will buy it”. That’s the reason that they sold in two hours on the opening day even though they did not have red & green facades.Set in the wonderful grounds of what was once the Prince Henry Hospital these beautifully designed 74 residential apartments comprising one, two & three bedrooms over four levels including 800square metres of retail space on the ground floor as well as underground and ground level car park space certainly stand out.  The landscaped podium to the south and extensive landscaped public areas to the north which will form the retail centre of Little Bay. The façade is layered with an extensive collection of complex sun shading louvre systems with terra cotta tiles and composite cladding.
The façade incorporates several curves and these are followed by the balustrades, glass & aluminium features following the same alignment so that the building literally flows around the site. The cantilevering of some of the elements of the façade and the potential for corrosion of the building fabric in the severe coastal environment were overcome by the use of Marine grade aluminium powder coating to the structural aluminium supports. A true landmark building.
