Timber has been used extensively and to minimal tolerances in this modern three level renovation and addition.   Externally it has been used to construct sliding timber screens to enclose the rear top floor balcony, slatted screening extending over two storeys at the sides of the front balconies and feature paneling.    The judges were also impressed by the internal finishes, in particular the stairs and feature handrails
