Project
Australian National Maritime Museum Boardwalk Upgrade

The works involved construction of a new suspended concrete walkway supported on concrete piles, carefully aligned with, but independent of, the existing sea wall along the waterfront of the Australian National Maritime Museum.
Additional works included a new timber-decked walkway constructed over water, a small amphitheatre, services connections, stainless steel handrails and tiled paving.
Access for machinery and materials was particularly challenging, with public movement required to be maintained throughout the construction programme. This required careful planning, staging and coordination to ensure safety and minimise disruption.
The result is a well-considered and expertly constructed civil engineering project that successfully responds to the challenging waterfront environment and has delivered a high-quality outcome for a very satisfied client.
