Sydney’s new second International Airport at Bringelly is an impressive project on a vast site, featuring a 90,000m² terminal with a 50,000m² roofed area, air bridges, 964 parking spaces, a 6m-deep basement with underground baggage facilities, extensive apron works, access roads, fuel systems, data centres, civil works, and landscaping. Multiplex and their team refined the original design, replacing a complex curved roof with a mono-sloped roof and curved ceiling, enhancing both form and natural light. Supported by 88 striking tapered concrete columns and a high-quality curtain wall façade, the terminal delivers an exceptional finish inside and out.
