The Harry’s Park project was designed by Harry Seidler & Associates as a memorial to the late Harry Seidler, in honour of his contribution to architecture and also created an urban park for public use.
The key elements of the complex concrete construction involved a wall curving along a sinuous span of 25 metres, three metres high, constructed of off-form white concrete of Class 1 finish, featuring a nine metre wide viewing slot, a six metre long cantilevered ribbon beam and a total of 54 metres of bench seating.
Meticulous attention to detail was required in the planning preparations, steel reinforcement, formwork, paving and landscaping to produce a remarkable project befitting the great man.
