The Old Bega Hospital was originally built in the 1880s. Some years ago it was replaced by a new District Hospital; it fell into decay and was partially burnt down. Leser Build accepted the task of restoring the building to it’s former glory for use as a Community Centre. Bega has recently experienced severe bushfires and Leser Build were able to source matching bricks for the project from another burnt out building. The roof and roof structure have been completely rebuilt along with new wiring, a new commercial kitchen has been added and restoration of the chimneys has been undertaken. The render and ceilings have been reinstated to their original standards and the timber floor finishes have all been beautifully renewed. The whole restoration has been sensitively completed and is a credit to all the tradespeople and artisans who worked on the project.
