The Parramatta Eels Centre of Excellence & Community Facility is a significant project located in Kellyville. The facility consolidates the Parramatta Eels training and administration operations into one central location.  The Centre of Excellence includes an elite gymnasium, medical and rehabilitation facilities and lecture theatre for player education including indoor pools and spas.  In addition to the elite sports facilities the project delivers a community focused amenities including gymnasium, cafe and multipurpose functions rooms with kitchen facilities. A covered spectator stands with seating and landscaping enhance the user experience for both athletes and the broader community.  The building was founded on piles and footings, concrete ground slab and first floor structure with structural steel framing. During the initial stage of construction, hazardous materials, including contaminated soil were discovered on site.  A special team dealt with these issues prior to the major works proceeding.  During the construction phase access to the existing sports fields for training had to be coordinated with the football club.  Water efficiency measures, solar roof panels, energy efficient plant, sustainable landscaping were all incorporated into the project to achieve a high level of environmentally sustainable development.  Kane Constructions has achieved a quality project as a result of their ability to be flexible during the design and construction phases to respond to site conditions throughout the project.
