The project incorporated approximately 1,200 cubic metres of Class 2 Sika (Rose) coloured pigmented concrete, forming key structural and architectural elements throughout the development. Achieving a consistent colour tone across large pours required stringent QA and batching controls, together with active monitoring of weather conditions, as temperature, humidity and wind significantly influenced pigment behaviour.
Detailed coordination between structural and architectural requirements was critical for all casting elements, including formwork alignment and reinforcement cover. Protecting the completed concrete was equally important, with finished surfaces carefully wrapped and shielded to prevent staining, chipping or impact damage from subsequent trades.
The result is an exceptional architectural finish, demonstrating outstanding quality, precision and attention to detail across the completed concrete elements.
