The Audi refresh was designed to consolidate the different Audi brands under the one roof while improving the work environment for employees. The refresh was undertaken within a mixed-used space of 4,200m2 including retail, vehicle servicing and office workspace.
Level 5 changed from an automotive repair centre with its double height space and naturally ventilated, to a vehicle service training centre encompassing new glazing to existing windows. The glazing was installed internally to avoid any compromise to the external existing walls. Where possible existing furniture and fitments were re-used following an extensive audit carried out by Hunter Mason.
A new internal stair was installed between levels 5, 6 and 7, the installation of which was heavily constrained by the existing structure.
Throughout, the project has an industrial and office feel successfully combined by use of metallic colours and design resembling an Audi vehicle.
The standard of finishes was impressively high and demonstrates a professional level of planning,
co-ordination, and skill. Hunter Mason NSW has achieved a high-level finish to what is now the landmark “Audi Lighthouse”.
