This major and most impressive regional hospital, built under a design and construct contract, comprises three new buildings as well as the refurbishment of four existing buildings, plus car parks and access roads.
The new buildings are :
•    The 36, 872m2 - general hospital 
•    Acute mental hospital – 3,304m2
•    Forensic mental health – 2,366m2
Impressive project statistics include the 60,000 cubic metres of fill which was brought to the site and the 17,700 cubic metres of concrete poured.
The hospital was completed in 46 months.
