When the judges first viewed this entry with its barn-style doors they said, “Oh, a converted garage”.
First impressions could not be further from the truth. Upon entry, the judges were impressed by the character and charm of this one-bedroom granny flat.
The timber-panelled walls, exposed timber rafters, mezzanine level, country-style décor, weatherboard external finish and those “barn-style” doors all came together to create a home that oozes character and typifies the era when the main house was created and built.
