The judges were particularly impressed with the quality of finish and attention to detail displayed in this renovation. Specific attention was placed on the timber installation with curved corners in the kick boards to allow efficient automatic vacuum operation and the precise tile setouts of un-cut mosaic tiles and CNC cut porcelain panels in the bathrooms. The thoughtful use of natural materials including blackbutt joinery, Japanese mosaics and ironbark flooring finished in raw oils, reflected the expert craftsmanship in this project.
