The redevelopment of the Prouille School required the progressive demolition of existing school buildings and the staged construction of new classrooms, library, multi-purpose hall, and administration areas.
The structure is reinforced concrete, structural steel and masonry, with fibre cement, Colorbond metal cladding and glazing.
The location of the school, in a residential area with narrow tree lined streets, made construction access extremely difficult. A traffic control plan was one of the requirements for Council approval.
The school was constructed in 17 months.
