This project was purpose-built by Brookfield Multiplex as the corporate headquarters for Sydney Water and has been customised to suit their specific requirements. This led to the incorporation of additional shower and bicycle facilities, interconnecting stairs between floors and the use of the roof with a multi use lounge, meeting rooms, outdoor landscaped deck and BBQ facilities for the 1,400 staff.
The project makes great use of colour and textures inspired by the many colours and textures of water. Colour is introduced in communal spaces such as teaming areas and meeting rooms. This colour intensifies in the café and lounge areas and the colours change between interconnecting floors creating a very pleasant and peaceful effect.
The quality of the joinery is very high and wall and floor finishes have been scrupulously chosen to create maximum effect and the choice of veneer finishes has been very well coordinated.
The result is most pleasing, high quality fit-out.
