The contract consisted of realigning 2.3km of Princes Highway, on Conjola Mountain, with steep and winding descents from the north to the existing narrow bridge at Conjola Creek, and to maintain through traffic at all times.  The scope of works involved construction of 2.3km of new road, a 120m pre-tensioned bridge structure, two underpasses, four reinforced soil walls and 275,000 cm of earthworks.
BMD successfully completed this contract with a proactive and co-operative willingness to meet/exceed RTA’s requirements involving stringent control of environmental impacts, managing all traffic movements and working with local landowners and the community to ensure minimal impact during the construction.
