COVID-19 and building contracts - read how to deal with Covid delays contractually.
The MBA regularly conducts training courses which are focused on contract interpretation and which aim to remove some of the mystery surrounding building contract requirements and builders’ obligations under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW), Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW) ["Security of Payment Act"] and other relevant legislation and general law.
MBA Lawyers’ two consulting solicitors are on hand to answer telephone and email enquiries, and to review proposed contracts and special conditions, explain particular contractual terms and to advise builders and contractors on their responsibilities in complying with the law.
The contracts courses concentrate upon both legal aspects of contracts and how to use or satisfy the contract administration criteria to avoid or minimise problems.
The courses are held in regional areas and can be conducted in Sydney, subject to minimum number requirements.
To enquire about these courses please contact the Training Department.
Please email the Legal Assistant if you require further information or if you would like to discuss a matter with one of the solicitors.
