IS THIS TRAINING FOR ME?
Master Builders applies the following entry requirements:
• a minimum of three (3) years full-time (or equivalent) experience in the building and construction industry working under a builder or construction company (experience must be within the last 10 years).
• a minimum of six (6) months supervisory experience supervising communication and administration processes for building and construction projects or hold a Certificate IV in Building and Construction.
• a valid White Card (General Construction Induction card)
• access to building projects up to three (3) storeys for;
- Residential – NCC Class 1 and 10 buildings, and
- Commercial – NCC Class 2 to 9, Type C and B construction
• able to answer at least 65% of the technical industry questions correctly during your application process.
HOW LONG IS THIS COURSE?
The program is designed to be able to be completed within 12 months, with a maximum time of 24 months.
We recommend committing 5-8 hours per week on the course to complete within the 12 months.
Interactive online tutorials are scheduled on weekday afternoons and evenings, and run for up to 2 hours each.
THE BUILDING LICENCE QUALIFICATION PROCESS
Our previously completed students who are on the pathway have success with licence applications by NSW Fair Trading. Before making any training decisions we recommend you find out everything you need to know about becoming a licenced builder from NSW Fair Trading.

This course may be subsidised by the NSW Government Smart and Skilled initiative. If you are eligible for the government subsidy, your student fee will be determined by the NSW Government. Smart and Skilled prices are subject to funding availability. A quote of applicable fees and funding will be provided prior to enrolment.

Are you eligible for fee-free training?

Under the Skilling for Recovery program, Training Services NSW is providing fee-free* training places with Master Builders if you meet ONE of the following criteria:
- aged 16 to 24 years old OR
- A NSW Veteran or their recognised partner or spouse OR

- Employed and don't hold a Certificate III or above qualification
Plus you must also meet all of the following Smart and Skilled criteria:
- live or work in NSW
- be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or a humanitarian visa holder
- have left school
