Course Description

Develop your business management skills and technical knowledge in the building and construction industry with this Diploma course. Together with the practical on the job skills, you will be equipped with an advanced level of knowledge to manage a team within residential or commercial small to medium-sized projects. With the successful completion of the Diploma, this is a tertiary education pathway that could earn you 1 year of full-time study in credit towards your Bachelor of Construction Management at participating universities. FEES

This course may be subsidised by the NSW Government through the Smart and Skilled initiative. If you are eligible for the government subsidy, your student fee will be determined by the NSW Government.
Smart and Skilled fees are subject to funding availability. A quote of applicable fees and funding will be provided prior to enrolment.

Student fees may decrease if you are awarded Credit or Recognition of Prior Learning in any unit/s of competency and are no longer required to undertake classroom or distance-based training and assessment for these unit/s of competency.

STUDY ONLINE

The online course is beneficial for many who are busy with work and life commitments. If you live far away from any of the Master Builders education centres, the online course can also be a great option. All assessments are to be completed and submitted online through this course. The online course also allows students to complete some subjects in class and online (mixed study mode).

TIME COMMITMENT

To be completed within 12 months. Enrol and start at any time.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To enrol in this course you must have the following entry requirements:        

  • Successfully completed CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) or CPC40108 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)
  • Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience in Building and Construction Management, within the last 10 years
  • Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience in the building and construction industry
  • Valid White Card (general construction induction card)
  • Hold a current Contractor’s Licence OR provide details of 2 qualified/licensed referees within Building and Construction Management to confirm your work history/experience who have worked with you for 12 months or more (Referees must be a currently licenced builder, construction manager or site foreman)
  • Answer at least 65% of the technical industry questions correctly during your application process
  • You are currently working on active construction projects
