Course Description

Advance your business management skills, technical knowledge and project managing in the building and construction industry with this Diploma course. Together with the practical on the job skills, you will be equipped with an advanced level of knowledge to manage a team of people within residential or commercial small to medium sized projects. With the successful completion of the Diploma, this is a tertiary education pathway that could earn you 1 year of full-time study in credit towards your Bachelor of Construction Management at participating universities.

This course may be subsidised by the NSW Government through the Smart and Skilled initiative. If you are eligible for the government subsidy, your student fee will be determined by the NSW Government.

Smart and Skilled fees are subject to funding availability. A quote of applicable fees and funding will be provided prior to enrolment.

Student fees may decrease if you are awarded Credit or Recognition of Prior Learning in any unit/s of competency and are no longer required to undertake classroom or distance-based training and assessment for these unit/s of competency.

According to the Standards for RTOs 2015, at no stage will Master Builders charge more than $1,500 in advance of services being provided.

Our training and assessment course will only take up to 10 weekends over a 6-month period. That means in as little as only 19 classroom days you could possibly successfully complete your Diploma.

To enrol in this course you must have the following entry requirements:        

  • Successfully completed CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) or CPC40108 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)
  • Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience in Building and Construction Management, within the last 10 years
  • Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience in the building and construction industry
  • Valid White Card (general construction induction card)
  • Hold a current Contractor’s Licence OR provide details of 2 qualified/licensed referees within Building and Construction Management to confirm your work history/experience who have worked with you for 12 months or more (Referees must be a currently licenced builder, construction manager or site foreman)
  • Answer at least 65% of the technical industry questions correctly during your application process
  • You are currently working on active construction projects
