The role of the Work Health and Safety officer is highly important as it ensures the business complies with its work health and safety obligations under WHS laws. If you have experience in the supervision of work health and safety practices on site, Master Builders can help get your skills, knowledge and experience recognised.    

The BSB41415 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety course has been designed to provide a broad range of knowledge and skills in managing and supervising workplace health and safety on construction sites and projects.



This course may be subsidised by the NSW Government through the Smart and Skilled initiative. If you are eligible for the government subsidy, your student fee will be determined by the NSW Government. 

Smart and Skilled fees are subject to funding availability. A quote of applicable fees and funding will be provided prior to enrolment.

Student fees may decrease if you are awarded Credit or Recognition of Prior Learning in any unit/s of competency and are no longer required to undertake classroom or distance-based training and assessment for these unit/s of competency.

According to the Standards for RTOs 2015, at no stage will Master Builders charge more than $1,500 in advance of services being provided.

Enrol and Start Online this Month!



The online course is beneficial for many who are busy with work and life commitments. If you live far away from any of the Master Builders education centres, the online course can also be a great option. All assessments are to be completed and submitted online through this course. The online course also allows students to complete some subjects in class and online (mixed study mode).


To be completed within 6 months. Enrol and start at any time.


To enrol in this course you must have the following entry requirements:                                                                                                                

  • Minimum of 2 years full-time experience in WHS, within the last 10 years
  • Valid White Card (general construction induction card)
  • Currently working on-site in WHS 
  • Provide details of 2 qualified/licensed referees within WHS to confirm your work history/experience who have worked with you for 12 months or more
  • Answer at least 65% of the technical industry questions correctly during your application process

• Assist with compliance with WHS laws and responding to incidents
• Implement and maintain WHS consultation, WHS Management systems and participation processes
•  Contribute to WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control, measures and initiatives
• Implement and monitor environmentally sustainable work practices                                                                              


Upon successful completion Certificate IV qualification. Become a WHS officer, supervisor or manager on building and construction sites.
