The Northern Suburbs Division was first established in 1957. 

Our Divisional Information Nights bring together industry experts to keep you up to date with local industry issues and legislation. These nights provide an opportunity to have a strong voice in local issues and influence industry and government decisions.

They can also help you stay compliant with licensing requirements by earning you 2 CPD points per meeting, plus an additional 2 points for bringing along a partner or associate.

Our Information Nights are held as dinner meetings. The cost for members is $50 and free for apprentices. RSVP is essential; preferably 1 week prior to the meeting. 

Members are also encouraged, by way of a Suggestion Box, to put forth ideas for the improved running of the Division and Information Nights.

During the year we also hold special evenings such as Ladies Night, Partners Night, Two for One Night, Free Drinks Night and an Awards Night.  

At least five of our Committee members regularly attend MBA Council and Executive meetings as elected officers, providing an opportunity for direct input, as well as giving an overview of current activities of the organisation.  

There are currently 13 dedicated Committee members, with Michael Shortis as President. Committee members are motivated to improve the lot of builders by dedication to the building industry and the MBA as a whole.
