Judge's Comment:
A difficult site overcome by creative design — restrictions imposed by council regarding tree protection/retention resulted in an aesthetically pleasing, functional pool with a curved, fully integrated 900mm retaining wall to three sides of the pool incorporating 400mm Villastone coping and a water feature with tiled feature wall and sheetfall. The extensive wading area was designed especially for grandchildren. The Quartzon internal finish add to its appeal. An unusual shape which attracts plenty of attention.

Judge's Comment:
Soaring above the lavish surrounds of the nearby golf course on the NSW south coast, this simple and elegant pool uses glass fencing and raised copings to create a functional area. Complete with detailed tiling and water features, this pool is a class above the rest.

Award Builder: WRIGHT POOLS PTY LTD
Judge's Comment:
The balcony from this Harry Seidler-designed home had to be replicated as a mirror image from the balcony above. The image of the balcony was constructed from sandblasted off white concrete to match. Site access was restricted and the pool was built over the sewer line. The pool was designed to maximise use of available space, creating a lap pool and at the same time replicating the boundary lines. Modern elegance, an excellent job which matches the standards set by Harry Seidler’s design

Judge's Comment:
Creative and unique Dean Herald designed this pool and landscape project on Sydney’s outskirts. This feature pool and spa boasts a stunning natural stone stepped access to the pool with an overflow weir from the spa to the pool and to hidden tanks, towards the magnificent home. Two separate filters, a computer-controlled pool and spa system, in-floor cleaning system and two additional water features creating a cascading waterfall into the pool all add to the impressive nature of the design. Another top effort from Reliance.
