    Smart and Skilled Funded Programs

    Under the NSW Government's Smart and Skilled program, MBA NSW can offer Government subsidised training for the following qualifications.

    CPC30111 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying

    *CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry

    *CPC30313 Certificate III in Concreting

    CPC30611 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating

    CPC31411 Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing

    *CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)

    CPC50210 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building)

    *RII30815 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations

    *RII30915 Certificate III in Civil Construction

    *RII40715 Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision

    *BSB40215 Certificate IV in Business

    BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management


    NB: Qualifications marked with an asterisk * are may be offered as apprenticeships of traineeships.


    Enrolment:

    To enrol into one of our funded programs, contact our office on (02) 8586 3588. Our dedicated team will be able to provide further information about the course and assist to determine your eligibility for enrolling into the program of your choice.

    As a result of this conversation, should you wish to, you can proceed with an enrolment. As your enrolment must be approved by Training Services NSW, MBA NSW staff will input your enrolment data into the Smart & Skilled system, which will confirm your eligibility and calculate your fees.

    Once confirmed, you will be sent an email to confirm your enrolment and course details.


    Undertaking the Program:

    While you are undertaking your chosen program of study, you may contact your assigned trainer/assessor, as well as MBA NSW Training Department staff for any support or assistance that you may require. The Training Department can be contacted on (02) 8586 3588.

    If your situation changes and you wish to withdraw or defer your participation in the program, contact our office to discuss this with one of our members of staff.


    Recognition of Prior Learning/Credit:

    When you enrol into a program, ensure that you let our staff know if you have achieved any qualifications previously. If you can provide a copy (either certified by a Justice of the Peace or the original sighted by one of the MBA NSW Training team), you may be able to be granted Credit for a unit or units of competency that you have previously achieved.

    If you have previous experience working in the building and construction industry, you may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL is a process where your existing skills and knowledge are recognised and you are exempted from needing to undertake a full learning program. 

    To apply for Credit or RPL, contact our office and speak with one of our Coordinators.


    Fees:

    For each participant who is eligible for a Smart and Skilled funded program, a Student Contribution Fee is required to be paid, either by the participant or their employer. Fees may vary depending on the individual participant's circumstances, location and previous experience.

    Where a participant undertakes an individual unit of competency by Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), the fee for this unit is reduced by 50%.

    Where a participant is granted Credit Transfer for a unit of competency that they have previously achieved, the fee for this unit is waived.
