    Presented by MBA NSW General Counsel, this Contracts and Insurance Workshop will help familiarise builders with the pitfalls of the residential building sector, identify what to look for in residential building contracts and how to prepare a contract correctly. This course is suitable for builders, sub-contractors, and anyone involved in procuring and preparing contracts for business. 

    This short course discusses changes to the Security of Payment Act, home warranty insurance, and dispute resolution. A BC4 Residential Contract & Confirmation of Variation Forms will be provided to participants on the day. Specific topics addressed are:

    • Insurances required for the construction industry 
    • Insurances available through MBAIS 
    • Changes to the Home Building Act 
    • Building contracts and the pitfalls to avoid 
    • What to look for in residential building contracts 
    • How to fill out contracts correctly

      This invaluable course provides the skills and knowledge required to ensure that contracts are correctly and appropriately prepared in order to avoid errors or disputes. The course also ensures that participants are aware of the correct insurances that are required for their business. On successful completion, participants will be issued a Certificate of Completion.
