    The Asbestos Awareness course is a pre-requisite for the Remove Non-Friable Asbestos (CPCCDE3014A) course.

    Classroom based seminars are also available. Please contact your local regional office to register or for further information. 

    *If you are planning to or likely to work in the Australian Capital Territory, you will be required to undertake an accredited course related to asbestos. This course is offered by Master Builders ACT. Further information can be found at https://www.mba.org.au/training/.

    This course is designed to assist building & construction industry employees, contractors and PCBUs (Persons in Control of a Business or Undertaking), home owners and DIY renovators to identify asbestos and asbestos containing materials.  In addition, this course is invaluable for the following occupations:

    Following completion of this course participants will be able to identify non friable asbestos materials and to effectively apply control measures to either eliminate or minimise the risk to their own health and safety or the health and safety of others.  Included is a written knowledge quiz.

    • Participants must hold a General Construction Induction (White) Card prior to course attendance

    Further training and industry experience can lead to becoming a licensed asbestos removalist or licensed asbestos assessor.  The career benefit for current licensed contractors can assist expand your business capabilities to include removal of asbestos while undertaking new construction, renovations, alterations and additions. On successful completion of this seminar, participants will be issued a Certificate of Completion.
