• National Construction Code (NCC)

The National Construction Code (NCC) is now free to download. The online edition will cover the 2015 version of the NCC, which will come into effect on 1 May 2015.

How can I get my online copy of NCC 2015?

To get your free online copy you will need to register on the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) website. If you are already a subscriber to the NCC, you will still need to register.

What is the National Construction Code (NCC)?

The NCC provides the minimum necessary requirements for safety, health, amenity and sustainability in the design and construction of new buildings (and new building work in existing buildings) throughout Australia.

The NCC was developed to incorporate all on-site construction requirements into a single code. It covers the Building Code of Australia and Plumbing Code of Australia and is managed by the ABCB.

    What about NCC 2014?

NCC 2014 will remain in effect until 30 April 2015, and hard copies will still be available for purchase until then. Free online versions of the NCC 2011-2014 will also be available for download from 1 May 2015.

Will I be able to order a hard copy of NCC 2015?

NCC 2015 will only be available online and the ABCB will no longer produce hard copy versions of the code.

However, Master Builders NSW will continue to stock hardcopy versions of the NCC 2015 and can be purchased through our online shop.
