• Industry Representation

Representing Industry & Partnering with Government

The Housing Department also participates in the NSW building industry via many Government committees and statutory bodies to ensure the needs of members, and the wider industry, are properly represented.  These include:

    • Building Regulation Advisory Committee
    • Home Building Advisory Council
    • Building Professionals Board Technical Committee
    • Long Service Leave Corporation
    • Plumbing Advisory Council
    • Australian Standards Committees
    • Safety Committee
By participating in these bodies and groups the Housing Department is well placed to coordinate the Association's residential policy development and to lobby on members behalf.

This ensures we are able to deliver tangible and beneficial policy outcomes for the residential building industry in NSW.

    Government Relations Program

Master Builders often hosts local members of Parliament at our local division meetings.  This gives MPs and MBA members a chance to discuss the issues that are important in their local communities.

Master Builders also holds up close and personal lunches with various Ministers and Shadow Ministers to enable frank and open debate of policy issues amongst decision makers from industry and government.

Master Builders Association NSW is proud to be able to assist government, our members and their communities work together to meet the building and construction industry challenges of today.
