    Australian Apprenticeship Careers
    Consider an Australian Apprenticeship in one of the following careers with Master Builders Association:-
    APPRENTICESHIP
    Apprenticeships in the Building and Construction Industry are usually for duration of four years. Apprentices sign a contract with their employer to remain for the duration of the apprenticeship. During an apprenticeship, apprentices are paid under award or enterprise agreement, and are given leave to attend training (TAFE). Apprenticeships are at Certificate III level.

    • Painting and Decorating
    • Plumbing
    • Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning
    • Roof Plumbing
    • Roof Tiling
    • Shopfitting
    • Solid Plastering
    • Stonemasonry
    • Wall and Floor Tiling

    TRAINEESHIP
    Trainees are required to enter a training plan. Traineeships are at Certificate III level. Trainees may be required to attend a training centre (e.g. TAFE) and work under an award wage or enterprise agreement.

    • Scaffolding
    • Steel Fixer
    • Waterproofing

    CADETSHIP
    Building and Construction Industry cadets usually work in the site office of a construction company and train as construction managers, estimators or in contract administration. Cadets enter a training plan and are released from work to attend training (e.g. TAFE, University) and are paid under an award or enterprise agreement. Cadetships are at Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma level.
