• NSW Government Building & Construction Industry Consultative Committee
• NSW Government Environment & Planning Advisory Committees
• NSW Workers Compensation (Dust Diseases) Board
• Safety Committees
• Standards of Australia Council
The MBA of NSW, while being mainly respondent to Federal Building Industry Awards, is also named respondent to:
• Building Crane Drivers (State) Award
• Building Apprenticeship Awards in NSW
• Transport Industry – Concrete and Haulage Mini-trucks Contract Determination
Other Awards
The MBA is also directly in the negotiation and servicing of numerous State Awards related to the construction industry.
The MBA has six (6) Safety Officers on its staff and they conduct on-site safety audits as requested. The Industrial Department, in addition to its five (5) Industrial Relations officers, provides award information and conducts wage book audits when requested.
The Legal Department is staffed by two (2) solicitors and has contracts for sale for both members and non-members.
The MBA continues to meet the changing needs of the industry and its membership by introducing new services as required.
