• NSW Master Builders Bowls Club

(Name change 26th March 1986 - Formerly Master Builder and Exchange Bowls Club 1923)
According to records, Sydney Master Builders played in a Bowls competition against Newcastle Master Builders in March 1916 at Newcastle. However it would appear that the Master Builders and Exchange Bowls Club was formed in 1923 when the James Wall Cup was first played, although there are no official records to verify this date. Therefore 1923 is assumed to be the inaugural year of the Club. On March 26th 1986, in view of changes of Grades of Membership (at this time Builders Exchange Members were classified as Members of the Association) it was agreed that the Master Builders and Exchange Bowls Club would change its name to NSW Master Builders Bowls Club.

    Annual Charity Day 2017

The 17th Annual Charity Day held recently at the Denistone Sports Bowling Club raised a sum of $5,535 as a donation to The Oncology Department at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

We especially thank the President and Board of Directors of Denistone Sports our Junior Partner, for their generosity in providing us with the use of their facilities, greens etc to hold another most successful Charity Day.

Our support over the past 17 years for The Children's Hospital at Westmead Oncology Department totals $83,200.

We acknowledge the most generous donations and raffle prizes given by various individuals, companies and bowlers on this occasion.

An attendance of 60 bowlers and guests were welcomed by John Morton, President of the NSW Master Builders Bowls Club.

    Guests Included:
Petra Velovcki, Fundraising Officer, Cancer Centre for Children
Anne McFadden, Bequests and Legacies, The Children's Hospital
Graham McGuiggan, Member Services Manager, MBA of NSW
Anne and Petra congratulated the MBA Bowls Club and Denistone Sports Club for their great effort in raising such a large amount of money over the last 17 years, especially for this very important charity within the community.
